Group of Nine Artists Art Exhibition
From Mon, Sep 02, 2019 to Sat, Sep 07, 2019 ● at La Galerie

‘Symphony’ is an exhibition which emanates from a get-together of artists from India and Bangladesh. Many of the artworks thus express folk themes and traditions of India and Bangladesh. Notably, Prof. Biman Bihari Das — who was awarded the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian honours — will exhibit his bronze and marble sculptures as well as acrylic paintings. Nurun Nahar Papa will present her oriental works. Simran Kawaljit Singh Lamba’s mixed media works use dry pastel, molten wires and molten coal tar.

The participating artists are, from India, Prof. Biman Bihari Das, Joydeb Bala, Nishi Sharma, Qazi M. Raghib, Simran Kawaljit Singh Lamba, and Subrata Ghosh; and from Bangladesh, Elham Huq Khuku, Nurun Nahar Papa, and Zebun Nahar Nayeem.
